If you are on a budget like i was a few years back when starting my business, try Book Keeper $30. keeps track of customers, invoices, sales tax, write checks, manage your accounts and print reports.

which does everything you could ever want to do and more.

I am in the metal contracting business and just switched to Quickbooks Premier for manufacturers. Quickbooks has industry specific software that is user friendly and easy to get up and running. I can honestly say that I do not regret changing to this program even though there are several things that I would change if I were the software publisher.

Quick Books Pro may seem pricey – but if you look at it as an investment – it’s what I use.
The other aspect is – if you use an inadequate program – how much will you be paying an accountant to unravel all the entries to explain things properly and in the format IRS inspector needs.
$200 should not be a stumbling block in this vital area.
